Información de interés para aquellas personas que están contemplando la asistencia al 56º Congreso Anual de la European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), previsto para los días 21 a 24 de septiembre en Viena (Austria). La organización recomienda paralizar cualquier gestión relacionada con el desplazamiento y alojamiento para la asistencia al mismo.

Dear colleagues and friends,

Due to the severe global impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) pandemic, EASD highly recommends that participants freeze their upcoming travel arrangements (flights, accommodation) to the EASD Annual Meeting in Vienna until further notice. For existing arrangements EASD recommends taking advantage of release options to minimise your financial impact.

We are currently exploring all the possibilities on how the Annual Meeting 2020 will take place, including the option for a stunning virtual version, of course with the usual ground-breaking scientific content. Please expect further information during the course of May 2020, along with more information about registration. We thank you, our members, collaborators and meeting participants for your patience during this careful process balancing the demands of planning a large conference to our common high standards while prioritising participants’ health and wellbeing.
